Moms: Young And In Control

Are you a mom or expecting in a few months time? Are you between the ages of 14 (or younger) and 30? I know how you feel; I know that carrying a baby bump can suck out the youth in you and that it can stress you out! Let alone raising a 3 year old all on your own! I know about the problems you might be faced with; trying to cope with school, varsity or work and a baby growing inside you.

YOUNG MOMS EC is a blog for young mommies like you! It serves as a tool that you can use to manage your pregnancy or raising your child even with those issues you are faced with at the moment so that your cute, little thing comes out healthy and that you will not lose your mind stressing about everything! From contraception to delivering your baby.REMEMBER, THIS IS ABOUT YOU TOO!

I am currently raising my late sister’s girls, two of them and guess what? I am 4 months pregnant, in varsity and although it can be tough at times, I am looking forward to it. This experience has inspired me to start this blog and create a family of mommies who are still young but in control of their life outside motherhood.

According to News24 in 2012, Eastern Cape had the highest abortion statistics in South Africa.from: Abortion Every Ten Minutes in Eastern Cape
on another article from News24, teens abort their babies because they fear their parents who chase them away .This news shocked me and I wanted to do something about it.
One needs to go to their nearest clinic or hospital to find out about safe ways of termination of pregnancy.

So…
If you decide to keep the baby, you might actually like it! The kicks, window-shopping on babies’ clothes can also be fun and if you love food then you won’t have to feel guilty about eating your favorite foods; you are eating for two anyway! There are so many reasons you will miss about being a mom!

You might miss your childhood, the fun of going out with friends, wearing your favorite tight jeans and being just YOU but, you are now a woman and life actually begins with you. This is something you have to go through anyway, embrace it if you want it to turn out wonderfully.
